I have been associated with many top class horses including a number of Group 1 winners as well as trading in broodmares and foals. For the last 12 years I have concentrated solely on being a bloodstock consultant and have been doing it only for friends, using my experience of, not only owning high class racehorses, but having been a very successful punter throughout this period, I use that skill in the purchase of racehorses in training, an important factor in my success and evaluation of a horse.
I have utilised my vast knowledge of the game in France and England in particular and work closely with a number of well respected agents who have been friends of mine for many years.
In particular, I have become the “go to ” person for a second opinion on top horses in training with, in particular Michel Zerolo of Oceanic Bloodstock in his purchase of three classic winners, STACELITA winner of the “French Oaks”, ELUSIVE WAVE winner of the “French 1000 Guineas” and SAMITAR winner of the Irish 1000 Guineas as well as ZAGORA multiple Group 1 winning mare and winner of the Breeders Cup Fillies and Mares and American Champion grass filly in 2012. I directly sourced SAMITAR for him. I also work with Charlie Gordon Watson one of the very top buyers of yearlings in the world in sourcing and giving the same second opinion on horses in training for mutual clients who place their horses with Luca Cumani.
In England, I work closely with the legendary Newmarket trainer Luca Cumani advising him on purchases of older horses in training including horses for races such as the Melbourne Cup and was instrumental, as per enclosed link, in the purchase of ALKAASED, a multiple Group 1 winning horse, winning races such as the prestigious £1.3 million to the winner Group 1 Japan Cup and the Group 1 Grand Prix de St.Cloud. I have also sourced other Group winning colts for him. Indeed, I have pinpointed many future top class Group 1 winning and top class prospects in my reflections, which I send out weekly or on a regular basis through the season for the European, American, Hong Kong and Australian market.
I have also bought a handful of horses for the National Hunt game and have been successful in sourcing the winners at the Cheltenham Festival of the Coral Cup, the Arkle Chase and the Fred Winter from a small number bought.
